It’s the final day of their business trip and Trish hasn’t bought a present for her mom. She was worried. Since her dad died, her mom has been depressed. Gardening, cleaning, laundry, just all of the housekeeping… so much of the housekeeping and yet, to the brighter side, she’s happy.
An hour after dinner she felt the need to vomit and thus, trotted her way to the drug store. Her stomach is upset probably surprised of such a new substance, sushi, in it. She bought medicine and drank at once just outside the drug store. She felt better yet was slowly on her way to the hotel. While walking, some things caught her eyes. “Handcrafted GIFTSfor mom!” she thought. Flower vases, coin banks, tissue holders, and jewelry boxes made of colorful paper mache – her mom’s favorite things. To her delight, she bought one of each thing and couldn’t wait for their trip home the next day.
Trish’s mom was very appreciative of the gifts she bought that she even tried to make her own. “A new hobby,” her mom said gladly. Everytime Trish goes home and sees the handcrafted gifts she bought her mom and the crafts her mom made, she smiles remembering how cool sushi was to upset her tummy just to make her mom happy.
