I only needed to train one dog – my own. While having provisions for multi-dog training may be beneficial in future, I had no desire to clutter my home with additional collars I may or may not use. It was a good thing that the Dogtra 202ncp Gold had a single dog training unit. I could still enjoy the increased functionality and low cost of a mid-range, mid-priced line from Dogtra. The Dogtra 202ncp Gold is actually a semi-professional equipment that is simple enough for beginner trainers to understand and use. I personally had no problems handling the Dogtra 202ncp Gold in training my Beagle. The nick and constant stimulation modes and the non-electric pager feature are most useful. It is also compact – no external antenna – and not heavy. My dog and I both have no complaints.
